The Good News

Here you’ll discover in seven short parts what the Christian faith is all about. We’ll take you from creation to the crucifixion of Jesus.
A carpenter from Nazareth who bore a punishment He did not deserve, and why that means peace, hope, and eternal life for us today. Step by step, discover the Good News.

1. Everything begins with God

Before anything existed, there was God: holy, eternal, and loving. Out of that love He created the heavens and the earth, the plants and animals, and finally us: mankind. We were made in His image, designed to reflect His character, to know Him, and to live in relationship with Him.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness…”
Genesis 1:26

2. The Fall

Because love is only real when it is freely given, God gave us free will. But in that freedom, humanity chose against Him. Through that disobedience, sin entered the world and through sin, death. Since then, every human being is sinful by nature and separated from God’s holiness. No human effort can repair that brokenness.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

3. Gods answer: Jesus

God did not abandon us. Out of love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. He lived as a man, showed us who God is, and ultimately gave His life as the perfect sacrifice on the cross. His sacrifice is enough, because He was without sin, the spotless Lamb. He paid the world’s debt and restored the way back to God.

Want zo lief heeft God de wereld gehad, dat Hij Zijn eniggeboren Zoon gegeven heeft, opdat ieder die in Hem gelooft, niet verloren gaat maar eeuwig leven heeft.

Johannes 3:16

4. The resurrection

It didn’t end with His death: Jesus rose from the grave and conquered sin and death. His resurrection proves that He truly is God and that His sacrifice is enough for forgiveness and new life. That’s why we have hope: sin and death do not have the final word. God makes a new beginning possible for all who believe in Jesus.

He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.
Matthew 28:6

5. Receiving grace

Salvation is not a reward for good behavior, but a gift of grace. God accepts us despite our failures and offers us new life. Whoever believes and confesses that Jesus is Lord and our true Savior receives forgiveness, peace, and a personal relationship with God.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

6. A new life

Through faith, we receive more than forgiveness: God’s Spirit transforms us from the inside out. Old patterns lose their power, and we learn to live according to His will. We are not perfect, but we receive a new identity: children of God, loved and called to a greater purpose.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

7. The Bible

God reveals Himself in the Bible: a book filled with history, laws, prophecies, psalms, and wisdom. All of it ultimately points to the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, in whom God’s promises are fulfilled—forgiveness and restoration for those who believe. The Scriptures also tell of the birth of the church and the spread of the gospel. God’s Word shows us who He is, uncovers our own hearts, guides our steps, and reminds us that Jesus is coming back to make all things new.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:2020

A New Beginning

Jesus invites us to acknowledge our sinful hearts and surrender them to Him. His sacrifice has long since paid our debt—we only need to receive it. When we do, He opens the door to a new life: a life where we experience forgiveness, peace, and joy that no human effort can give. He wants to free us from the burdens we carry, break the chains of patterns and addictions that hold us back, and lead us on the path of love, grace, and truth.

That journey begins with a simple, sincere step: admitting that you cannot do it on your own, trusting in His salvation, and inviting Him into your life. Let Him renew your mind, transform your choices, and heal your heart. God promises that those who come to Him will never be put to shame.

Psalm 34:8-10

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
